I spent the better portion of my time as a wife then mama trying to achieve the elusive balance in my life. Every time I thought I made some steps to the finish line, the goal moved.
It was like running a race and being told it’s only a 5 minute race. Then you get to the 5 minute mark and you’re told to just do another 5, and another 5, and another 5.
The problem with work life balance as I see it, is that making that your goal, you will always be working toward an impossible standard.
IMPOSSIBLE!
It’s that whole trying to be the perfect twin mom vibe that made me continue trying to “balance” it all out. The best thing I could ever do for myself was to let go of the perfection and really embrace the fact that it’s not going to all balance out.
And I’m ok with that!
It’s not easy to overcome the thoughts that you have to be perfect and balance it all.
But when you have a supportive coach walking you through proven steps to make it work for you and still have time to be you (and do what YOU want), it’s certainly not that hard.
If you’re a twin mom ready to stop the perfect balancing act, send me an email or give me a call!
